Back Home is Italian axeman Gianluca Galli's second instrumental CD (his first album was 2000's "Rock Religion"), and it features twelve instrumental tracks with ethnic sounds, heavy rock, blues, fusion and more, as well as great guest musicians like Mario Riso, the members of Time Machine and Patrick Rondat. Galli, a guitarist who has studied classical and jazz music extensively, was a founding member of the group Mad Mice in 1988. Ten years later, that band evolved into Mantra, who have released several CDs, including "Roots" and "Hard Times". He has also recorded and played with the prog-metal band Time Machine since 2002, appearing on the "Reviviscence - Liber Secundus" CD.
