Country Squire was the debut of Michael Fath's Virginia Rangers, modeled after Steve Morse's amazing Dixie Dregs. Featuring the same instrumentation as the Dregs (drums, bass, keyboards, fiddle and guitar), the music edges slightly more to the jazz/country side at times, with the rock side surfacing whenever there was enough single malt scotch available. The violinist, Robert Spates, is world class, giving the other musicians a run for their money one every tune. Country Squire established Fath as a critically acclaimed country player (see Guitar World and Guitar Magazine) to go along with his rock, jazz and classical guitar technique arsenal. Highly enjoyable. Instrumental Guitar (Electric/Rock/Country), total running time, 38.41
