When I started Guitar Nine Records in 1996, I felt strongly that the web site should stand for something specific and unique. In other words, my goal was that the Guitar Nine "brand" should come to mean something in the mind of the visitors who used the site regularly.
Since I was working on an instrumental guitar CD at the time, and I had been a fan of the music for many years, I decided to make the site's focus Instrumental Guitar -- covering the music, the musicians who create the music, the recordings, and the methods of composing, recording and releasing instrumental guitar albums.
After four years of working on this site, and after having hundreds of thousands of visitors, customers, artists and other creative individuals as a global audience, I realized that it would be worthwhile to articulate exactly why this site is unique and what I think Guitar Nine stands for in the year 2000.
