Joshua Walker's album Inertia contains progressive, original jazz music performed with passion and spontaneity and features a quartet of guitar, alto sax, bass, and drums rendering new exciting compositions with a heavy emphasis on improvisation. Joshua Walker is a versatile guitarist and composer performing in many different groups including several of his own. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Walker has performed at The Montreal International Jazz Festival and International Jazz Educator's Confrence in Toronto. He is a member of The Jazz Composer's Alliance in Richmond, Virginia , and has been a featured composer at several of their concerts. Walker's compositions have been featured three times on the jazz guitar internet podcast entitled "No Idle Frets". He also regularly performs with the Richmond based group, Soul Army.
