Las Guitarras De Mario Otero features El Paso, Texas guitarist Otero playing a variety of electric and acoustic guitars on nine, mostly instrumental, Latin-influenced rock and ballad tracks ("Bus Stop" contains a short vocal passage). Las Guitarras De Mario Otero was certainly born with dance rhythms, love ballads, and blues/flamenco guitar riffs. The boleros and romantic music portrayed on this album have come from Otero's love for Latin music. If you listen you can hear the happiness, the love, and the suffering. You'll hear shades of Larry Carlton in the seven-minute rock/jazz number "Jungle Moon", while numbers such as the aforementioned "Bus Stop" are reminiscent of Carlos Santana. In short, Las Guitarras De Mario Otero offers a wide range of tones and Latin soul from one-half of the Southwestern acoustic duo, La Vienta. Instrumental Guitar (Electric/World/Rock), total running time, 44:37 - Mario Otero @ iTunes!
