Steve Vai's CD, "Mystery Tracks - Archives Vol. 3" is part of a series of discs that can contain anything from minor contributions that Steve has made to various other artists' recordings to bootlegs, B-sides, vault tapes and reshaped extrapolations of his past catalogs. It's sort of like a golden scrap pile. Devour with a silver spoon. This volume features a tribute to Frank Zappa ("Sofa"), a Radio Disney Kid Jams ("Wipeout 2000"), a demonstration of the Roland VG88 and GR33 ("Essence"), a promotional song for the Bad Horsie Wah pedal ("Opposites Attract Parts 1 & 2)"), and even a song spawned by a weird dream ("The Murder").
