Wake Up Your Mind finds Arch Rival continuing to deliver their own brand of hard rock/metal. From the opening speed-shredding of "A Different Light", you know you are in for some top-notch muscianship. Drummer Greg Martin and bassist Gary Rigmarden take a stonger hand on Wake Up Your Mind compared with 1991's "In The Face Of Danger", and really demonstrate their musical talent. Arch Rival meshes beautifully as a band, as tight rhythm work feeds fantastic vocals and jaw-dropping Michael Harris guitar work, making for a phenomenal second release. Stand-out tracks include "A Different Light", "Aimlessly", and "Vampire Woman".
