Straight Up

Cup-A-Jo
Sold through Guitar Music 9 thru 2012

On Straight Up, Cup-a-Jo (featuring guitarist/vocalist Joe Oeser and guitarist Kent Brown) has put together their most eclectic project to date. The record is straight-down-the-middle with simple structures and a strong groove very prominent in the mix. It's filled with catchy melodies like the horn hitting title track, the pop sound of "I Was Wrong" and the rootsy "Sophia." An apt description from Dirty Linen magazine reads, "it's a little bit Memphis and little more New Orleans, which means other than the laid-back attitude, there's nothing like the Cup-a-Jo band in the Rocky Mountain area." Branching out into new markets, the sight and sound of Cup-a-Jo has struck an incredibly favorable chord with fans. Whether playing traditional blues, hard driving funk, or blues-based rock, anyone who has seen the band can tell you their live performances are kick-startin', joint-jumpin', party-spreadin' good times!

Cup-a-Jo is in the musicians directory — hear them on Apple Music.
