One Of Many Goodbyes

Eve's Drop
Sold through Guitar Music 9 thru 2012

Eve's Drop are back with a new sound and an accompanying CD, One Of Many Goodbyes. Here, Eve's Drop keeps the pop and progressive touches and adds more of an emphasis to the groove. Slam grooves, funk grooves and blues grooves from guitarist Mike Lopez abound on what is Eve's Drop's strongest statement to date. Lead vocalist Kristi Stice lends her entrancing vocals to nine studio tracks as well as a couple of bootleg live tracks. "Lovers In A Million Pieces" kicks things off with an alt-rock slammer that hints at a Nancy Sinatra's finest hour. Feel like floating down a lazy river only to be tipped by a punchy chorus? "Come Down" may posses the commercial strength of the CD in two versions. "In a Dream" is like the kid brother to the elder "Wicked Tea". It is funky, dreamy, progressive and hard hitting. Crowd favorite, "Cool Shoes on Monday" lights up the room with defiant, feel-good funk. Cowboy Junkies influenced, "Sky Cornflower Blue" pulls at heartstrings in Eve's Drops prettiest piece yet. "11:59:59" is like the band's modern rock "Bohemian Rhapsody". The near epic glides through several cinematic parts before succumbing to nearly seven minutes of hook-filled pop opera. The blues get their due in an ode to the truck-stop waitress in the guitar rippin', "Angels of Barstow".

Eve's Drop is in the musicians directory — hear them on Apple Music.
