Best Of George Benson: The Instrumentals

George Benson
Sold through Guitar Nine thru 2012

Covering a near twenty year period of creative work beginning in 1976, The Best Of George Benson: The Instrumentals seeks to stimulate the fans of instrumental jazz and pop that crave to hear Benson's greatest works in this format (albeit confined to the Warner Bros. catalog). With his indomitable style evident on tracks such as "Affirmation", "Breezin'", "Weekend In L.A." and "Dinorah, Dinorah", Benson shows off his improvisational talents quite brilliantly on "Tenderly." Sidemen and collaborators include greats such as Marcus Miller (bass), Anthony Jackson (bass), Earl Klugh (guitar), Herbie Hancock (keyboards), Dave Grusin (keyboards), Randy Brecker (flugelhorn)... the list goes on and on. Even included is the title track from his first GRP album, "That's Right". A great hour of listening.

George Benson is in the musicians directory — hear them on Apple Music.
