Alter Ego is the 2006 release from Spanish guitarist J.L. Pizarro, who was touted in the 1990s as the Spanish Satriani, although this album is more along the lines of rock-fusion-progressive music. Alter Ego is marked by Pizarro's influences, including such players as Eric Johnson, Brett Garsed, and Carl Verheyen, to name but a few. Six numbers are sung in English by Pecos Beck, and four are instrumental tracks, perfect for lovers of blues-rock and rock-fusion.
