Razorblades
Sold through Guitar Nine thru 2012

German guitarist Martin Schmidt's alter ego Rob Razorblade (and his brothers Ray Razorblade on bass and Regina Razorblade on drums) are behind Twang Machine, a sixteen track instrumental surf extravaganza. The power trio entered the studio in 2008 to record their third full length album, which opens up the Razorblades cosmos to musical styles that traditional surf bands never dare to touch. Can you combine reggae, ska, rockabilly and garage rock with surf? You can! The result is an album that combines classic surf with the power of today's music. After six years, the Razorblades are known worldwide. DJs in the US play their songs, Belgian girls dance to their music and bands in different parts of the world cover their songs. The band remains very busy on Europe's live circuit and continues to show the world another side of surf music, far away from the Beach Boys.

Razorblades is in the musicians directory — hear them on Apple Music.
