Size Of The Earth For Comparison is Australian born, London based guitarist and composer Roland Chadwick's new age release for 2004 - music improvised and experi-mentalized - composed at various times between 1992 and 2004. "Elephant Strings", for example, was written for Surinder Sandhu's Orchestra Project in 2000, while "Any Time Now" (2004) was recorded with no plan, no rehearsal, in one take, and features orchestral guitarist Amrit Sond. The three pieces comprising "Thinking A-Loud" are from 1992, and each was improvised over a metronome click, with the subsequent parts improvised in response to the parts that were being built together. "The Silent Memory Of God" (2001) was originally intended as a classical guitar solo; the steel string guitar was added later. Inform Your Face (2001) is a kind of Indian Latin crossover, while Ozymandias is another no plan, no rehearsal, one take recording.
