Acoustic guitarist Scott Christensen's Innocence In A Sense features heartfelt and personal solo guitar pieces recorded in, of all places, his car (an '88 Chevy Caprice). An all original, all instrumental project, the material moves stylistically from adventureous ("Macau") to soothing ragtime ("Buffalo Rag") to blues ("The Road To Rosedale", Christensen's tribute to Robert Johnson, Charlie Patton and Son House) to honest reflection ("My Second Mind") to whimsical ("Peasant Magic"). Christensen offers quite a variety of moods within the friendly confines of a single instrument recording - but the overriding musical statement can best be summed up as: an ode to true innocence.
