There was something about the lead guitar on this double disc that really got me hooked. Uli Jon Roth`s fluid and highly emotional playing was far beyond what I usually was listening to at the time and I just had to get hold of all the stuff he had recorded with the Scorpions. I was hooked! Still it was the music that he did on his three solo albums with Electric Sun that made such a huge impact on me. As a composer and musician Uli was taking chances and discovering new territory sometimes coming across as the missing link between classical music and Hendrix. I decided long ago that if I ever would get a chance I would make sure a tribute to Uli would happen one way or another, and here it comes many years later - it`s just our way of saying thank you for the incredible music..."
