Executive producer Lars Eric Mattsson on Beyond Inspiration, "I still remember listening to "Tokyo Tapes" for the first time back in the days of vinyl. There was something about the lead guitar on this double disc that really got me hooked. Uli Jon Roth`s fluid and highly emotional playing was far beyond what I usually was listening to at the time and I just had to get hold of all the stuff he had recorded with the Scorpions. I was hooked! Still it was the music that he did on his three solo albums with Electric Sun that made such a huge impact on me. As a composer and musician Uli was taking chances and discovering new territory sometimes coming across as the missing link between classical music and Hendrix. I decided long ago that if I ever would get a chance I would make sure a tribute to Uli would happen one way or another, and here it comes many years later - it`s just our way of saying thank you for the incredible music..."
