Yngwie J. Malmsteen joins forces once again with vocalist Mark Boals (from Malmsteen's third release "Trilogy") on his CD Alchemy, which also features a return to the medieval or dark ages style of lyricism (Malmsteen wrote all the lyrics on the album). Three instrumentals are also featured, opening with the high energy "Blitzkreig" (reminiscent of "Evil Eye" in places), 'slowing it down' to an emotional frenzy on "Blue", then ending the CD with the three-part, eleven minute "Asylum". Other highlights include "Playing With Fire" and "Legion Of The Damned", which both feature Malmsteen in top form.
