Ain't From Mississippi continues in the tradition of Blinddog Smokin's first release, "Start Packin'", displaying the band's musical growth while maintaining their blunt and graveled honesty. Guitarist Jason "Twelve Fingers" Coomes once again demonstrates his command of electric blues rock, giving each track his unique sonic stamp -- with solos, fills and tight rhythm work. Ain't From Mississippi also features Blinddog's bluesy cover of the classic, "The House Of The Rising Sun", which opens with a Coomes-trademark, electrifying guitar solo. Excellent songs and solid production combine with the heart and soul of the Wyoming flatlands.
