Verbum Caro is a Christmas album from Waldon Reed, Jr. containing a collection of ten sacred carols spanning the eighth through the nineteenth centuries. Along with the usual range of subtleties and excesses that have become the trademark of Reed's electric playing style, this recording also features his classical technique in a pairing
with his wife, Celeste, on flute. The arrangements contained is this recording are all Reed's own and cover quite an eclectic range of styles. From the hauntingly romantic "O Little Town of Bethlehem" for solo flute to the Middle Eastern 'vibe' of "The First Noel" to the 'no apologies' power rock treatment of the title track, no dynamic nuance or tone color is left unexplored.
