Suspended Animation, from guitarist Michael Fath, highlights the Virginia shredder's unique tone, wicked wah-wah work and complex compositional style. The nine cuts comprising the CD feature the incredible speed and dexterity of Fath's single note work, and include a '90's-style, Pentium-speed remake of Deep Purple's chugging classic, "Highway Star" as well as a guitaristic reinterpretaion of the classic "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place". Suspended Animation also includes several acoustic pieces performed on classical guitar -- adding another dimension to an artist more versatile than the majority of contemporary musicians.
