"Adam Fulara is anxious and seeking nature with passion." So stated one reviewer when describing the two-handed tapping fusion of Polish guitarist Adam Fulara. Fulara submitted a three-song demo CD-R recorded in 2005 with the Fool-X Trio. On it you'll hear crystal clear examples of how Fulara is turning heads with his unique approach to guitar playing, tapping harmony and solos at the same time, or contrapuntal solos based on the jazz tradition and J. S. Bach's music, or sometimes delivering a walking bass line and chords when the bass player plays solo. Fulara uses a double neck guitar, making his stage presence all that more interesting (which is just a bonus, because his skill at playing is so advanced and attention grabbing). Already seen as highly influential both in Poland and abroad, it is now up to fusion audiences around the globe to discover this superb musician. Adam is 27 years old and currently lives in Ostrzeszow, Poland, and is a Computer Science/Electrical Engineering graduate from Wroclaw University. His main hobby is music, and has been making music for 15 years, starting as an accordion and piano player. When he was in the fifth grade, he took up the guitar. At first, Adam played rock music (Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Satriani, Marty Friedman) with his own band and he gigged frequently, on occasion opening for famous Polish bands like Houk or Armia. When he was 18, he started to play the guitar with the two-hand tapping technique. He has been using the two-hand tapping technique for seven years now, and uses a 6-string hand-made guitar (he can't afford a special tap guitar, like a 8, 12 or 16-string "stick" or "warr"). Adam also plays a special tap-guitar, made according to his own specifications (double neck).
Currently, Fulara plays with his jazz trio (tap-guitar, bass and drums). They play jazz standards and their own compositions. He plays classical music as well (Bach, Chopin and Beethoven) but in the future he wants to play only Bach tunes.
