Crunchy Riffs, Infectious Guitar-Laden Grooves

Feed The Fire, the first CD release by Santa Cruz, California hard rockers, The Influence, is an intense, powerful collection of tunes with a distinctive edge. Guitarist Danny Martin and guitarist/vocalist J. Neil Freeman rip it up with emphatic axework throughout the record. In addition to Martin and Freeman, Roland Frank contributes muscular basslines, John Waller pounds the skins, and Paul Haley lays down keyboard tracks. The Influence, true to their name, seem to seamlessly blend their array of influences into a cohesive, in-your-face rock sound. Feed The Fire has fifteen tracks in total, including one memorable instrumental burn, called simply, "Whip".

Within it's short existence The Influence has managed to become a major contender on the indie scene in California, captivating audiences at venues such as The Edge, Club Monterey, and a host of others. Opening for acts such as the Dixie Dregs and Tony MacAlpine, the crowd is treated to their bone crushing live show, making them a tough act to follow.

Songwriting duties on Feed The Fire were shared among the members of The Influence, further establishing their versatility and originality. The Influence is currently looking for a label that can take advantage of their unique brand of hard rock.
