New Columns

December's guest columnists are bursting at the seams with knowledge, and cover topics on studio recording, technique, and the music business. We've got twelve fresh articles altogether - nine returning columnists and three first timers. First off is Tony Koretz with "The Recorded Electric Guitar in Your Mix". Canadian guitarist David Martone is back with another interesting debrief entitled "Zone Recording: Atlantic Clinic Tour". Neo-classical guitarist Tom Hess contributes his essential piece called "Are You a Bad Student?". Paul Chase returns from a hiatus to pen "The 16 Foot Taylor Guitar". Indie marketing and promotions expert Tim Sweeney has contributed an article entitled "Rejection And Praise". Ex-band coach Sean Farrington returns with "Four Tactics to Pack Fans Into Your E-mail List". British guitarist Guy Pople is back with "Harmonic Alchemy: Mining For Precious Chords". Guitarist Patrick DeCoste has written another interesting column entitled "Take Your Pick". First time contributors include guitarist and Berklee instructor John Baboian with "Arpeggios To Help Make The Changes", guitarist/instructor Paul Tauterouff with his piece "Attack of the Clones", and fusion guitarist David Wright, who has written "Playing The Changes". Finally, music industry guru Christopher Knab returns with "Knowing the Gate Keepers".
