New Columns

October's guest columnists bring gear tips, the music business, and practice ideas to the table, and cover areas such as guitar technique, marketing and business, as well as record deals. We've got ten fresh articles altogether - seven by returning columnists along with three new contributors. Canadian guitarist David Martone is back with another in his series entitled "Zone Recording: The Wait Is Over". Paul Tauterouff returns with another technique article, called "Open String Flash Licks, Part 1". Tom Hess returns with a new column in the area of music business with "The Pursuit Of A Record Deal". Mike Campese delivers another useful technique column, "Speed, Accuracy And Coordination". Scott Allen continues his series with "Gearing Up: In Defense Of Floyd". Guitarist Guy Pople is back with his column entitled "Harmonic Alchemy: Face The Diminished". New contributors include Ysrafel with "What Is Your Sweep Picking Type?", Paul Kleff with "Connecting Arpeggio Shapes" and Washington State guitarist Nick Layton with a technique column, "Improving Your Phrasing, Part 1".
