The Gypsies in Spain, to avoid persecution, have used many nicknames for their race, often referring to the “typical” gypsy jobs of silversmith, horse-trader, or basket-maker, “Canastero” And because the guitar is female, the latter became “La Canastera”. With a look that combines the gold-top with the sunburst, its a show-stopper, literally.
The glamorous Super-E-series brings back the familiar looks of guitars such as La Canastera with Master Series styled artwork. The body has been redesigned for better construction and resonance. The fingerboard for the Korina-built Super-E-series is a luxurious Bedouin. Like all E’s, La Canastera is ‘Shipwreck’ finished with hand-rubbed oil and assembled with Teye’s Master Series design tuner keys, switch tip and volume knobs. Features a beautiful aluminum rear-plate with a Cleopatra motive.
