Liona Boyd, the First Lady of the Guitar, as her numerous loyal followers know her, says, in her own words, about Classically Yours, "During my years as a concert artist, I have had the pleasure of performing much of the well-established repertoire for the classical guitar. In recent programs I have included some of my own compositions, and with concert audiences expressing both appreciation and encouragement, I have decided to devote an entire album to these musical creations. It is most satisfying to be able to interpret compositions that have arisen from my own imagination, and it is my hope that these very personal, musical statements will contribute something lasting to our special world of the classical guitar."
